ندامت ہے دل میں، آنکھوں میں نمی، کاش تو سمجھ جائے، میری یہ کمی۔
Nadaamat hai dil mein, aankhon mein nami,
Kaash tu samajh jaaye, meri yeh kami.
There is remorse in my heart, moisture in my eyes,
I wish you would understand this failing of mine.
اک بار تو کہہ دے، کہ معاف کیا تجھے، تیری خاموشی نے، مار دیا مجھے۔
Ik baar toh keh de, ke maaf kiya tujhe,
Teri khaamoshi ne, maar diya mujhe.
Just say once that you have forgiven me,
Your silence has killed me.
بھول ہو گئی مجھ سے، میں شرمندہ ہوں، تیری ناراضگی سے، میں زندہ درگور ہوں۔
Bhool ho gayi mujh se, main sharminda hoon,
Teri naaraazgi se, main zinda dar-gor hoon.
I made a mistake, I am ashamed,
Due to your displeasure, I am buried alive.
معافی کا طلبگار، کھڑا ہوں تیرے در پہ، رحم کر دے مجھ پر، اے میرے مہرباں۔
Maafi ka talabgaar, khada hoon tere dar pe,
Reham kar de mujh par, aye mere meherbaan.
A seeker of forgiveness, I stand at your door,
Have mercy on me, O my kind one.
جانتا ہوں غلطی، میری تھی بڑی، پر تیری معافی سے، امید ہے جڑی۔
Jaanta hoon ghalti, meri thi badi,
Par teri maafi se, ummeed hai judi.
I know my mistake was big,
But hope is attached to your forgiveness.
دل دکھایا تیرا، پچھتا رہا ہوں میں، معاف کر دے مجھ کو، یہ کہہ رہا ہوں میں۔
Dil dukhaaya tera, pachhta raha hoon main,
Maaf kar de mujh ko, yeh keh raha hoon main.
I hurt your heart, I am regretting it,
Forgive me, this is what I am saying.
تیری ناراضگی، اک عذاب ہے جاناں، معاف کر کے مجھ کو، دے دے اماں۔
Teri naaraazgi, ik azaab hai jaanaan,
Maaf kar ke mujh ko, de de amaan.
Your displeasure is a torment, beloved,
By forgiving me, grant me refuge.
نہ جانے کیسے ہوئی، یہ خطا مجھ سے، اب بس اک آس ہے، تیری رضا مجھ سے۔
Na jaane kaise hui, yeh khataa mujh se,
Ab bas ik aas hai, teri razaa mujh se.
I don’t know how this mistake happened from me,
Now there is just one hope, your contentment with me.
معافی مانگتا ہوں، جھکا کر سر اپنا، ٹوٹنے نہ دینا، یہ پیار کا سپنا۔
Maafi maangta hoon, jhuka kar sar apna,
Tootne na dena, yeh pyaar ka sapna.
I ask for forgiveness, bowing my head,
Don’t let this dream of love break.
شرمندگی سے نگاہیں، جھکی جاتی ہیں، معاف کر دے ہمیں، یہ التجائیں ہیں۔
Sharmindagi se nigaahein, jhuki jaati hain,
Maaf kar de hamein, yeh iltijaayein hain.
Eyes are lowered with shame,
Forgive me, these are my pleas.
غلطی انسان سے، ہو ہی جاتی ہے، معاف کر دینا ہی، بڑائی کہلاتی ہے۔
Ghalti insaan se, ho hi jaati hai,
Maaf kar dena hi, baraai kehlaati hai.
Mistakes happen from humans,
To forgive is called greatness.
تیرے آنسوؤں کا، سبب بنا ہوں میں، اس جرم کی سزا، بھگت رہا ہوں میں۔
Tere aansuon ka, sabab bana hoon main,
Is jurm ki sazaa, bhugat raha hoon main.
I have become the reason for your tears,
I am enduring the punishment for this crime.
اک موقع تو دے، سدھرنے کا مجھے، پھر کبھی نہ کوئی، شکوہ ہوگا تجھے۔
Ik mauqa toh de, sudharne ka mujhe,
Phir kabhi na koi, shikwa hoga tujhe.
Give me one chance to improve,
Then you will never have any complaint.
معاف کر دے اگر، ہو سکے تو اے دوست، تیری خاموشی سے دل، بہت ہے مایوس۔
Maaf kar de agar, ho sake toh aye dost,
Teri khaamoshi se dil, bahut hai maayoos.
Forgive me if you can, O friend,
My heart is very despondent due to your silence.
ندامت کے آنسو، بہا رہا ہوں میں، تیری دہلیز پہ، سر جھکا رہا ہوں میں۔
Nadaamat ke aansoo, baha raha hoon main,
Teri dehleez pe, sar jhuka raha hoon main.
I am shedding tears of remorse,
I am bowing my head at your doorstep.
مان جا اب، نہ ستا مجھے اور، تیری جدائی کا، نہیں ہے کوئی طور۔
Maan jaa ab, na sataa mujhe aur,
Teri judaai ka, nahin hai koi taur.
Agree now, don’t torment me anymore,
There is no way to bear your separation.
غلط فہمی ہوئی، یا تھی میری نادانی، معاف کر دے مجھے، کر دے مہربانی۔
Ghalat fehmi hui, ya thi meri naadaani,
Maaf kar de mujhe, kar de meherbaani.
It was a misunderstanding, or it was my foolishness,
Forgive me, do me a kindness.
تیرا دل دکھا کر، چین نہیں پایا، خود اپنی نظروں میں، میں گرتا ہی آیا۔
Tera dil dukha kar, chain nahin paaya,
Khud apni nazron mein, main girta hi aaya.
After hurting your heart, I found no peace,
I kept falling in my own eyes.
اک حرفِ تسلی، اک لفظِ معافی، یہی تو ہے میرے، دردِ دل کی شافی۔
Ik harf-e-tasalli, ik lafz-e-maafi,
Yahi toh hai mere, dard-e-dil ki shaafi.
One word of consolation, one word of forgiveness,
This is the cure for my heart’s pain.
پچھتاوے کی آگ میں، جل رہا ہوں میں، معافی کی امید پہ، پل رہا ہوں میں۔
Pachhtaave ki aag mein, jal raha hoon main,
Maafi ki ummeed pe, pal raha hoon main.
I am burning in the fire of regret,
I am thriving on the hope of forgiveness.
کیسے مناؤں تجھے، کچھ تو بتا دے، میری ہر سانس تجھ پہ، فدا ہے فدا ہے۔
Kaise manaaoon tujhe, kuch toh bata de,
Meri har saans tujh pe, fida hai fida hai.
How to appease you, tell me something,
My every breath is devoted to you.
تیری آنکھوں کی اداسی، دیکھی نہیں جاتی، معاف کر دے خطا، کیوں ہے یہ خامشی۔
Teri aankhon ki udaasi, dekhi nahin jaati,
Maaf kar de khataa, kyun hai yeh khaamoshi.
The sadness in your eyes cannot be seen (by me),
Forgive the mistake, why is this silence?
سوری کہنے سے اگر، زخم بھر جائیں، ہزار بار کہوں گا، جب تک تم مان جائیں۔
Sorry kehne se agar, zakhm bhar jaayein,
Hazaar baar kahunga, jab tak tum maan jaayein.
If saying sorry heals the wounds,
I will say it a thousand times until you agree.
دل صاف کر لے اپنا، نہ رکھ کوئی ملال، معافی دے دے مجھ کو، کر دے میرا خیال۔
Dil saaf kar le apna, na rakh koi malaal,
Maafi de de mujh ko, kar de mera khayaal.
Clear your heart, don’t keep any resentment,
Give me forgiveness, think of me.
تیری اک نگاہِ کرم، کافی ہے مجھے، معافی کی طلب ہے، اب تو بس تجھ سے۔
Teri ik nigaah-e-karam, kaafi hai mujhe,
Maafi ki talab hai, ab toh bas tujh se.
One kind glance from you is enough for me,
Now I only seek forgiveness from you.
نادانستہ ہوئی، جو بھی خطا ہم سے، درگزر کر دے تو، یہ التجا تم سے۔
Naadaanista hui, jo bhi khataa hum se,
Dar-guzar kar de tu, yeh iltijaa tum se.
Whatever mistake happened from me unknowingly,
Please overlook it, this is my plea to you.
تیری مسکراہٹ کو، ترس گیا ہوں میں، معاف کر دے اب تو، بہت رویا ہوں میں۔
Teri muskuraahat ko, taras gaya hoon main,
Maaf kar de ab toh, bahut roya hoon main.
I have longed for your smile,
Forgive me now, I have cried a lot.
ہاتھ جوڑ کر مانگوں، معافی اے صنم، تیرے بغیر جینا، مشکل ہے ہر قدم۔
Haath jod kar maangoon, maafi aye sanam,
Tere baghair jeena, mushkil hai har qadam.
I ask for forgiveness with folded hands, O beloved,
Living without you is difficult at every step.
آخری بار کہہ دے، کہ نہیں ہے گلہ کوئی، ورنہ یہ دل میرا، مر جائے گا رو رو کے۔
Aakhri baar keh de, ke nahin hai gila koi,
Warna yeh dil mera, mar jaayega ro ro ke.
Say for the last time that there is no complaint,
