Kashmir ki waadi, jannat nazeer,
Aazaadi ki taalib, har peer-o-faqeer.
The valley of Kashmir, a sight of paradise,
Every saint and ascetic is a seeker of its freedom.
Lahu rang chinaar, pukaarte hain aaj,
Kab badlega Kashmir, tera yeh samaaj.
Blood-colored Chinar trees call out today,
When will your society change, O Kashmir?

Youm-e-Kashmir hai, ehd-e-wafaa ka din,
Mazloomon ke sang, hum hain har ik chhin.
It is Kashmir Day, a day of the pledge of loyalty,
We are with the oppressed every single moment.

Aazaadi ka sooraj, tulu’ hoga zuroor,
Kashmir ki dharti, paayegi suroor.
The sun of freedom will surely rise,
The land of Kashmir will attain delight.

Kashmir ke bete, bahaadur-o-ghayoor,
Haq ki khaatir ladte, nahin hain woh majboor.
The sons of Kashmir, brave and honorable,
They fight for their rights, they are not helpless.

Shaheedon ka lahu, rang laayega ik din,
Kashmir banega, aazaad gulshan ik din.
The blood of martyrs will bear fruit one day,
Kashmir will become a free garden one day.

Jheel Dal ki lehrein, poochhti hain sawaal,
Kab tak rahega, yeh gham ka wabaal.
The waves of Dal Lake ask a question,
How long will this scourge of sorrow remain?

Kashmir ki maayein, behnein aur betiyaan,
Sabr-o-istiqaamat ki, zinda nishaaniyaan.
The mothers, sisters, and daughters of Kashmir,
Living signs of patience and steadfastness.

Zulm ki zanjeerein, tootengi ik din,
Kashmir ki taqdeer, badlegi ik din.
The chains of oppression will break one day,
Kashmir’s destiny will change one day.

Hum tumhaare saath hain, aye ahl-e-Kashmir,
Haq-e-khud-iraadiyat, hai tumhaari taqdeer.
We are with you, O people of Kashmir,
The right to self-determination is your destiny.

Barf posh pahaadon pe, aazaadi ka naghma,
Goonjega ik din, yeh dil ka taraana.
On snow-capped mountains, the song of freedom,
Will echo one day, this anthem of the heart.

Kashmir ki waadi, pukaarti hai tumhein,
Aao aur dekho, kya haal hai hamein.
The valley of Kashmir calls out to you,
Come and see what our condition is.

Woh maasoom nigaahein, sawaal karti hain,
Aman-o-sukoon kab, hamein bhi milengi.
Those innocent eyes ask a question,
When will peace and tranquility also be ours?

Kashmir ka muqaddama, duniya ke saamne,
Insaaf ki ummeed, har dil ke aaine.
Kashmir’s case, before the world,
The hope of justice in every heart’s mirror.

Haq ki aawaaz, dabegi nahin kabhi,
Kashmir ki aazaadi, rahegi yahi.
The voice of truth will never be suppressed,
Kashmir’s freedom will remain just this (the ultimate goal).

Za’afraan ke khetton mein, lahu ki surkhi,
Kashmir ki kahaani, dard se hai likhi.
In the saffron fields, the redness of blood,
Kashmir’s story is written with pain.

Youm-e-Kashmir par, tajdeed-e-ehd karein,
Mazloomon ki khaatir, har dam hum ladein.
On Kashmir Day, let’s renew our pledge,
For the sake of the oppressed, we will always fight.

Jannat-e-arzi pe, yeh kaisa hai azaab,
Kashmir ki aazaadi, hai hamaara khwaab.
On this paradise on earth, what kind of torment is this?
Kashmir’s freedom is our dream.

Kashmir ki hawa mein, aazaadi ki khushboo,
Aayegi woh seher, badlega yeh jaadu.
In Kashmir’s air, the fragrance of freedom,
That dawn will come, this magic (of oppression) will change.

Zaalim ki taaqat, aakhir ko tootegi,
Kashmir ki qismat, zuroor phootegi.
The oppressor’s power will eventually break,
Kashmir’s destiny will surely blossom.

Woh waadi-e-gul posh, woh barfaani chotiyaan,
Kashmir ki aazaadi, maangein yeh sab khoobiyaan.
That flower-laden valley, those snowy peaks,
All these beauties demand Kashmir’s freedom.

Duaayein hamaari, tumhaare saath hain,
Aye ahl-e-Kashmir, Rabb tumhaare haath hai. (Metaphor: God is on your side)
Our prayers are with you,
O people of Kashmir, God is with you (supporting you).
