Lafzon ka i’jaaz, ma’ani ki gehraai,
Shaa’iri woh jo dil mein, utarti jaaye bhai.
The miracle of words, the depth of meaning,
Poetry is that which keeps descending into the heart, brother.
Ik harf-e-kun se, yeh jahaan bana,
Kya i’jaaz hai Rabb ka, yeh sab kuch fana. (Here ‘fana’ refers to its ultimate created nature)
With one word “Be,” this world was made,
What a miracle of God, all this is (ultimately) transient.

Mohabbat ka i’jaaz, pathar ko mom kare,
Nafrat ki aag ko, pal mein dhoom kare. (Khatm: finish/extinguish)
The miracle of love melts a stone,
Extinguishes the fire of hatred in a moment.

Shaa’iri ka i’jaaz, rooh ko chhoo jaaye,
Be-jaan lafzon mein, jaan si aa jaaye.
The miracle of poetry touches the soul,
As if life comes into lifeless words.

Fitrat ka har manzar, ik i’jaaz-e-Rabbani,
Dekhne waali aankh ho, toh kya nahin kahaani.
Every scene of nature is a divine miracle,
If one has the seeing eye, what isn’t a story?

Sabr ka i’jaaz, mushkilein aasaan kare,
Har dard ka darmaan, khud hi woh jaan kare.
The miracle of patience makes difficulties easy,
It itself knows the cure for every pain.

Dua ka i’jaaz, taqdeer badal de,
Na-mumkin ko mumkin, pal mein woh kar de.
The miracle of prayer changes destiny,
It makes the impossible possible in a moment.

Maa ki dua mein, i’jaaz hai kitna,
Har bala tal jaaye, saaya ho jitna.
How much miracle there is in a mother’s prayer,
Every calamity is averted, as much as her shadow (protection) is.

Ik nazar-e-karam, i’jaaz se kam nahin,
Veeraan dilon mein, bhar de khushi waheen.
One glance of kindness is no less than a miracle,
It fills desolate hearts with happiness right there.

Sache ishq ka i’jaaz, dekho toh sahi,
Farhaad ne kaata, pahaad bhi waheen.
See the miracle of true love, indeed,
Farhad carved through the mountain right there.

Ummeed ka diya, i’jaaz dikhaaye,
Ghata-top andhere mein, raah banaaye.
The lamp of hope shows a miracle,
In pitch darkness, it makes a path.

Qalam ka i’jaaz, zamaane ko badal de,
Soi hui qaum ko, jagaa kar woh rakh de.
The miracle of the pen changes eras,
It awakens a sleeping nation.

Khaamoshi ka i’jaaz, kabhi samjho toh zara,
Bin kahe keh de, jo dil mein hai chhupa.
Understand the miracle of silence sometime,
It says without speaking what is hidden in the heart.

I’jaaz-e-sukhan hai, ya teri nigaah ka,
Pathar dil bhi mom, ho jaaye waah waah.
Is it the miracle of speech, or of your gaze?
Even a stone heart melts, wow, wow!

Waqt ka i’jaaz, har zakhm bhar de,
Yaadon ke nuqoosh ko, halka woh kar de.
The miracle of time heals every wound,
It lightens the imprints of memories.

Ik muskuraahat mein, i’jaaz hai chhupa,
Gham ke baadalon ko, door woh kar dega.
A miracle is hidden in one smile,
It will drive away the clouds of sorrow.

I’jaaz-e-fitrat hai, phoolon ka khilna,
Rang-o-boo se jahaan ko, mu’attar karna.
The blooming of flowers is nature’s miracle,
To fragrance the world with color and scent.

Saadgi ka i’jaaz, dil ko bhaaye,
Banaawat ki duniya, kab tak chal paaye.
The miracle of simplicity pleases the heart,
How long can the world of affectation last?

Yaqeen ka i’jaaz, koh ko raai kare, (Turns a mountain into a mustard seed)
Na-mumkin ko bhi, mumkin woh banaai kare.
The miracle of belief turns a mountain into a mustard seed,
It makes even the impossible possible.

I’jaaz hai yeh kaisa, teri mohabbat ka,
Dil mera dhadke, naam le kar bas tera.
What kind of miracle is this of your love?
My heart beats, just by taking your name.

Fan ka i’jaaz, rooh ko taskeen de,
Zindagi ke ghamon se, ik pal ko chheen le. (Aaraam: comfort/respite)
The miracle of art gives solace to the soul,
Snatches a moment of respite from life’s sorrows.

I’jaaz-e-bandagi, Rabb ko mana lena,
Apne gunaahon ki, maafi paa lena.
The miracle of servitude is to appease God,
To obtain forgiveness for one’s sins.

Har subah ka sooraj, ik i’jaaz naya,
Zindagi ka paighaam, deta hai sadaa.
Every morning’s sun is a new miracle,
It always gives the message of life.

Kalaam mein i’jaaz, ho toh baat bane,
Sunne waalon ke dil, sabhi jhoom uthein.
If there is miracle in speech, then it makes an impact,
The hearts of all listeners sway with joy.

I’jaaz-e-karam hai, yeh Rabb-e-Jaleel ka,
Ataa karta hai bin maange, har ik bakheel ka. (Zaroorat mand: needy one)
It is the miracle of grace of the Majestic Lord,
He grants without asking to every needy one.

Mehnat ka i’jaaz, taqdeer sanwaare,
Kaamyaabi ke raste, khud hi woh nikhaare.
The miracle of hard work adorns destiny,
It itself refines the paths of success.

Ik nanhi si jaan mein, zindagi ka i’jaaz,
Rabb ki qudrat ka, yeh hai ik khaas andaaz.
In a tiny life, the miracle of existence,
This is a special style of God’s power.

I’jaaz-e-dua se, tal jaaye har bala,
Dil ko mile taskeen, na rahe koi gila.
With the miracle of prayer, every calamity is averted,
The heart finds solace, no complaint remains.

I’jaaz hai yeh kaisa, zamaane ki chaal ka,
Kal jo thay apne, aaj dushman hain haal ka.
What a miracle this is of time’s चाल (gait/trick),
Those who were ours yesterday are enemies of the present today.

Shaa’iri khud ik i’jaaz, jazbaat ka izhaar,
Dil ki har ik kaifiyat, kar de aashkaar.

It reveals every state of the heart.
