Intikhaab ka din hai, qaum ki hai aawaaz,
Vote ki taaqat se, badlega yeh samaaj.
It’s election day, it’s the nation’s voice,
With the power of the vote, this society will change.
Wa’de hain hazaaron, naare hain buland,
Dekhenge ab kaun, niklega arjumand.
There are thousands of promises, slogans are loud,
Now we will see who emerges noble.
Ballot box mein chhupi, hai taqdeer hamaari,
Soch samajh kar daalna, hai zimmedaari bhaari.
Our destiny is hidden in the ballot box,
To cast it thoughtfully is a heavy responsibility.

Jamhooriyat ka jashn, intikhaab ka yeh din,
Awaam ki hukoomat, aayegi har chhin. (Ummeed: hope)
Celebration of democracy, this election day,
The people’s government will come every moment (is the hope).

Leaderon ki bhaag daud, jalson ka hai shor,
Vote ki khaatir sab, lagaate hain zor.
The hustle of leaders, the noise of rallies,
Everyone exerts effort for the sake of votes.

Nashistein hain thodi, ummeedwaar bahut,
Kis ko milegi kursi, yeh hai qismat sakht.
Seats are few, candidates are many,
Who will get the chair (power), this is a tough fate.

Vote ik amaanat, soch kar hi dena,
Qaum ke mustaqbil ka, hai yeh nageena.
A vote is a trust, cast it only after thinking,
It is the gem of the nation’s future.

Intikhaab ke baad, badal na jaayein woh,
Jo wa’de kiye thay, woh nibhaayein woh.
After the election, may they not change,
May they fulfill the promises they made.

Jhoote da’we bahut, sache iraade kam,
Intikhaab ka mausam, laaye khushi ya gham.
Many false claims, few true intentions,
May the election season bring happiness or sorrow.

Awaam ka faisla, sar aankhon par,
Jo bhi jeetega, karega mulk parwar. (Ummeed: hope)
The people’s decision, with utmost respect,
Whoever wins will nurture the country (is the hope).

Har shehri ka farz, vote daale zuroor,
Jamhooriyat ki taaqat, banegi phir poor.
It is every citizen’s duty to cast their vote,
The strength of democracy will then become full.

Intikhaabi nishaan, har party ki pehchaan,
Kis pe lagegi mohar, yeh hai awaam ka armaan.
Election symbol, every party’s identity,
On whom the stamp will be placed, this is the people’s desire.

Dhaandli ka khadsha, dil mein hai basa,
Saaf-o-shaffaf ho, yeh intikhaab sadaa.

Naujawaanon ka josh, intikhaab mein nazar aaye,
Mulk ki baag dor, woh khud hi sambhaal paaye.

Vote ki parchi mein, hai badi taaqat,
Achhe numaa’inde chuno, yahi hai liyaaqat.

To choose good representatives, this is competence.

Intikhaab ka dangal, saja hai har su,
Kaun pehelwaan jeete, dekhegi yeh qaum.
The wrestling arena of elections is set up everywhere,
Which wrestler wins, this nation will see.

Kursi ki khaatir, kya kya na khel,
Awaam ki khidmat ka, kab hoga mel.
For the sake of the chair (power), what games are not played,
When will there be an inclination for public service?

Manshoor har party ka, khushnuma bahut,
Amal karne ka waqt, aayega ya nahin.
Every party’s manifesto is very attractive,
Will the time to act upon it come or not?

Vote zaaya na karna, yeh hai qaumi fareeza,
Mulk ki taraqqi ka, hai yeh ik dareecha.
Do not waste your vote, this is a national duty,
It is a window to the country’s progress.

Intikhaab ke din, sab baraabar hote hain,
Ameer ho ya ghareeb, vote toh dete hain.
On election day, everyone is equal,
Whether rich or poor, they cast their vote.

Ummeedwaaron ka hujoom, wa’don ki barsaat,
Kis pe karein e’tibaar, yeh hai badi baat.
A crowd of candidates, a rain of promises,
Whom to trust, this is a big matter.

Polling station par, lambi qataarein,
Jamhooriyat ki jeet ki, yeh hain bahaarein.
Long queues at the polling station,
These are the springs of democracy’s victory.

Nateeje ka intezaar, dil dhadakta hai,
Kaun jeetega baazi, yeh kaun samajhta hai.
Waiting for the result, the heart beats,
Who will win the game, who understands this?

Haarne waala bhi, hausla na haare,
Awaam ki khidmat ka, jazba na maare.
Even the loser should not lose courage,
Should not kill the spirit of public service.

Nayi hukoomat se, ummeedein hain waabasta,
Mulk-o-qaum ki khaatir, ho woh farishta.
Hopes are attached to the new government,
For the sake of the country and nation, may it be an angel.

Intikhaab ek mauqa, tabdeeli laane ka,
Achhe mustaqbil ki, bunyaad banaane ka.
Election is an opportunity to bring change,
To build the foundation of a good future.

Vote ka sahi istemaal, qaum ki amaanat,
Is se hi milegi, mulk ko zamaanat.
The correct use of vote is the nation’s trust,
Only from this will the country get security.

Jalse julooson mein, naare hain hazaar,
Amal se saabit ho, kaun hai wafadaar.
In rallies and processions, there are thousands of slogans,
Let it be proven by action, who is loyal.

Intikhaab ke rang, hain bahut niraale,
Koi haare baazi, koi jeete piyaale.
The colors of election are very unique,
Someone loses the game, someone wins the goblets (rewards).

Jamhooriyat zindabad, awaam paaindabad,
Intikhaab ka yeh amal, rahe sadaa aabaad.
